On 14 October 2015 the Croatian National Archives conferred its highest distinction on ICARUS.  Reason for this special award is the excellent cooperation between both institutions which, on the one hand, manifests itself through continuous exchange of experiences and knowledge and, on the other hand, a variety of joint projects.

The director of the Croatian State Archives, Vlatka Lemić, presents the honorary distinction to the president of ICARUS, Thomas Aigner.

The certificate of recognition was accepted by the president of ICARUS, Thomas Aigner.  His acceptance speech emphasized not only the vital international cooperation in the digital age but even more the significance of friendship between the people involved. This is especially important in view of the longtime joint history in Central and Southeast Europe.
